After seeing him perform live. I would like to add Myles Kennedy to this list. He has a truly unique and powerful voice. A great singer

Anyone watching the new series of Modern Family. I gotta say, they are keeping the standard up. 4 great episodes so far

I don't like jazz but I know that when my favourite band Megadeth first formed in the early 80's, two members were actually jazz orientated musicians. Their early albums do have some jazz elements infused with thrash.

Alter Bridge - Still Remains. The new album is awesome http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhN_MiC1ae0 9 days and counting...Cannot wait

I will second that every time mate. Loved it as a kid, still love it now. Hilarious. John Candy was an absolute legend

Even though you say Monaco is the hardest...it must look amazing. I seen the graphics and detail of this game and Monaco is by far imo the nicest looking circuit.

I would have thought Singapore would have been the toughest. Confined and in the dark

I do like watching f1 but I don't think I'd pay for the game. Was there a demo out for it? Its a game I'd rather try before I buy

I know that they have to take a break sometime but I just want them to keep touring. They just have so much charisma when they play live, especially James. They have only played 1 of 3 of my favourite tracks when I've been to see them. They played Blackened in Manchester but I wanna be there when they play Ride the Lightning and Fight Fire with Fire. Once they have played them with me in attendance, I can die a happy man. Not that I'm complaining btw, every track they play live is epic. I know that many did and still do doubt the quality of the new album but I thought it was amazing. I can't compare it to Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning or And Justice for All but it is certainly on par with the Black Album. I think its amazing they way have changed their sound over the years and Death Magnetic has some absolute classics especially live.

Miles Kennedy is an awesome vocalist. I will be seeing him in a few weeks with Alter Bridge. Cannot wait

Awesome. Great to see another Metallica fan on here. What kind of set did they play? I have seen Metallica twice. Indoor and outdoor and can't wait to catch them sgain. Hopefully next year I am lucky that I live in the UK where most bands will tour. Because of this I have been able to catch most of favourite bands more than once. Sadly it's a common occurrence for Guns n' Roses to be late for a gig. When they played Reading and Leeds a few weeks ago, the crowd was not so forgiving. I mean, surely it isn't much to ask that they actually show up on time.

Yeah I know what happened. She has done some important stuff for Ozzy but if theres one place she shouldn't be it's in the public eye. Pretty childish what she did
-
He may not have OD'd but the drugs have had a massive effect on Ozzy. The constant shaking and slurred speech. He ha said time and again that without Sharon, he would be dead. I was mainly referring to their kids, I can't stand either.
-
I respect Ozzy for what he has brought to music with Sabbath and as a solo artist. As for the rest of them, talentless, annoying people who constantly keep finding their way onto the TV. Especially the kids.

I think thats a little harsh. These people are asking for it but it's an addiction. Thankfully I've never been in a state of addiction of any kind but you cannot just quit just like that. Would you have such an attitude towards George Best? He was addicted and blew his second chance.

I like slipknot. I wouldn't call them classic heavy or thrash metal which is what I love, but they are certainly heavy. Used to love them when I was younger around the time that Iowa came out. Went off them over the years but earlier this year listened to All Hope is Gone which has got some real gems on it. They sound like a different band on some of the songs. It was a real shame to hear about Paul Grays death a few months back too. The only 'modern' bands that I'm into would be Trivium and Alter Bridge. Other than that I love the 70's and 80's heavy metal and thrash scene.

Yeah sure. PM me your address

Cool. No problem. What kind of forum?

I think you're best bet may be Leeds. Caught Theater and Opeth there last year. The major cities bands tour are Manchester, Birmingham and London. You may be in for some long journeys to see most bands. But I'm in the same boat. The majority of gigs I've been to are in Manchester which is an 1 and half hour drive. Leeds was a one off because I wasn't driving and it took much longer. I would willingly drive to Birmingham if the band was good enough and had good support. I would only travel to London to see Megadeth or Metallica (who will hopefully tour there next year).

There are only a handful of singers that if you heard them on the radio, you would immediately know who they are. Ozzy Osbourne has a very distinctive voice too. Not necessarily the best though. For me the best vocalists are those that can turn it on in their live shows and not everyone can do that

Hey mate. Good to hear from you. Any new gigs, new albums to report. This thread has been dead for months sadly. Will be going to see Alter Bridge in October and I can't wait for it as well as their new album. They're not exactly heavy metal but they play some good heavy music. What do you think of the news of Mike Portnoy leaving Dream Theater. That came out of the blue
-
3 words...Ronnie James Dio. The best and most distinguishable voice I've ever heard.
-
The ending was great. You were just willing the spinner to drop. It wobbles then continues. So many questions. You'd like to think it was back to reality

The Peacemaker. Oldish film starring George Clooney and Nicole Kidman. I like it 7/10
