While we are the subject of tragic deaths. I have to pay my condolences to the late Paul Gray, the bassist of Slipknot, who passed away yesterday at the very young age of 38. He will also be missed and I hope Slipknot are able to carry on despite this tragedy.

Thats weird. So surely it must be a problem Sonys end rather than your ISP. One thing I will say is that the PS3 is probably the only thing that is both great and useless at the same time. The only time I have had trouble with my PSN login is when my wireless router has been acting up. Have you googled the error code you're getting?
-
It's well worth it just for the single player. I haven't even touched on the multiplayer as of yet. I intend to but I am so preoccupied with the great one player mode. Is it a wireless network problem?

I know. The variety is great. I spent about an hour playing poker, so much fun. Have had it for a day and a bit now and I haven't really started the main story missions. This game is gonna last. I have now officially formed an emotional bond with my trusty steed Much more enjoyable than a car. One thing that annoys me though is those pesky coyotes. Leave me alone, I'm just picking some wildflowers dammit!

I have heard about these. I watched a Louis Theroux documentary on this 'church'. They are all delusional, hateful and ignorant bastards. Convinced that everyone bar them is going to hell. They are absolutely pathetic...laughable even. I know that they protest at US soldiers funerals too which is just sick. I don't wanna get dragged into a religious battle here but bottom line, they are just a load of fanatic hicks. A load of inbred hillbilly shits with nothing better to do than thrive in the suffering of others. Ronnie James DIO will live on...he had left a legacy that is recognised worldwide and will always be loved. As for the picketers, well they're not called the most hated family in America for nothing. A good and genuine person has been taken from us much earlier than he should have been. Why oh why couldn't it have been Fred Phelps. He deserves it. Well thats my opinion. Rock on my friend \m/

Oh it's good mate. Looks amazing and the scale is massive, so much to do as well. I would recommend it. It really is like GTA 1V in the west...except a lot better, so if you're a fan of the GTA's I would get this.

It's a tragic loss to heavy metal. He had the most powerful voice I have heard. I knew he had been ill with cancer for some time but I thought that was coming along well and he would be touring with Heaven and Hell. Then to hear of his passing was just a complete shock. I'll always be a fan of his work, be it with Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio or Heaven and Hell. He will be sorely missed thats for sure Another sad thing was that I didn't know that Scorpions were calling it a day. Their last album I though was really good. Even though this doesn't compare to the passing of Ronnie James Dio, it is still a great loss of a truly terrific band. But I think they went out on a high

Am in university now with the game in my bag. I have to hang around until 3:00 for my exam. The wait is killing me. Will be worth the wait in the end though

The last track on Scorpions farewell album. Sad times I'm a real sucker for metal ballads and nobody does it better than Scorpions
-
Yeah I love that track. My favourite soundtrack. Hans Zimmer does it again
-
Well supposedly a third installment is in progress. As of yet though I don't know if it being released anytime soon.

I think REC is one of the many films spoilt by continuous sequels not up to the standard of the original I might just do that. If you recommend it that highly then I will try and give it a chance. Whats the genre and story?

Haven't spoken in this thread in a while but I think it's only me and you that use this thread. So anyway I wanted to ask you if you think it's worth going to Download this year. A good friend of mine, who up until a few weeks ago I had no idea he was into heavy metal (but after giving it a chance he loves it) has asked me whether I fancy it. He is really into AC/DC and I know that Megadeth and Motorhead will be playing too (if not headlining). There are constant rumours floating around that Metallica could be added to the lineup but I'm unsure. The ticket prices are really expensive. But I thought I would get someone elses opinion on this. I mean, other than the bands I have mentioned there is nothing special tbh
-
I can't say that I am but I really enjoyed REC too. Different from the sort of film I would normally watch but nonetheless I enjoyed it Have you seen the sequels. If so are they any good?
-
Yeah. I'm getting that too I see you're a big fan of oriental cinema

Surprised nobody has mentioned the brilliance of Alfred Hitchcock. I never enjoyed a lot of his films but he can create suspense like no other. He has had an influence on so many of today's directors Psycho and Rear Window were both great films. They look very dated today but they still have the same effect now as they did back in the 50s and 60s

Christopher Nolan Memento Insomnia Batman Begins The Dark Knight Michael Mann Heat Collateral Public Enemies

Wasn't sure if this should be in music or film What do you think is the best Film soundtrack ever? What do you think? Scarface? The Godfather? Pulp Fiction? Kill Bill? Post your opinions

It seems to be a common theme with Tarantino films. They all have surreal but great soundtracks
-
That is different. Do the robot Arnie! Another classic from Ennio Morricone from the enjoyable Inglorious Basterds.
-
I wouldn't have thought so. Been a while since I've seen the film. Surely that takes the fear factor out it if someone breaks into a guitar solo. I don't think it would have the same effect Try this one

Some good choices mate. But that Exorcist track still unnerves me to this day
