I think the masses want simplicity and the fact with this is that anyone can do it. These people I hear on the radio and in the mainstream aren't special, they aren't talented, they are just one in a very long line of talentless, flavors of the month. What I see in much of modern music, no matter what the genre is, is not musicians, simply because either they don't actually write the music themselves, or what they do write is a load of bullshit. Me personally, I love the music I listen to to be challenging. Its in this sort of music that I find you get the best rewards. Music you really have to dedicate time to will repay you tenfold. Just the other day I was listening to Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd, talented is not a big enough word to describe these brilliant musicians who had the ability to make stuff sound awesome, they pushed boundaries, they were different and their stuff is still as amazing today as it was then. It'll be interesting if the songs you hear on the radio will still have value in 30 years. Something tells me...not.

I have to say I dislike Muse too. They're just a bit too mainstream for me and its always baffled me why that is in the first place. For a relatively progressive band, their stuff has never seemed that complex or catchy to me. I prefer a heavier sound to my music and I guess Muse are a bit too 'spacy' for me. I think they arguably hit their peak with Origin of Symmetry, which was a long time ago. Their music comes across as cold with songs lacking any real emotion, its almost robotic and if you put them up against Porcupine Tree, I think they get their arses kicked. ...and yet there they are, up there with other inexplicably popular bands like Coldplay, U2, Foo Fighters as one of the most popular bands around. ...just my opinion anyway

Daylight Dies - And A Slow Surrender

Paradise is pretty cool. Took a while to get used to the controls (sice when has R2 been accelerate!!) and also the free roam element. But visually it looks stunning and theres plenty of fun to be had.

Burnout will never be beaten. Playing the old Point of Impact, Takedown and Revenge games was time very well spent, really good fun

Has anyone played this awesome game for the PS3 yet. I don't have it myself as I currently don't have a PS3 (old one broke, lots of screws a hammer and tears...long story) but will be getting another soon and this game is top of my list. Played it at a friends and was completely blown away. It is without doubt the greatest title I have ever been lucky to play. I thought the 2nd was amazing and this betters it (I never thought that was possible). For those who are unfamiliar with this game (where have you been?) Check out the vid below

You gotta catch DT if they come your way man. Petrucci is awesome live, an absolute God on guitar. From what I see too, they are playing a couple of dates in NY. In a few weeks time too. Definitely worth it!

The story will no doubt be the same. Maybe you get multiplayer perks on the GOTY edition, but I would be happy with the standard version. And btw, starting from the beginning is a good decision. Because it will get better and better. Enjoy it, you're bound too

Anyone getting this game when released? It comes out tomorrow and it looks awesome. Exactly like GTA in the Wild West. Have seen so many videos and Rockstar have truly outdone themselves once again. Great single offline modes and the multiplayer looks amazing too. Cannot wait...problem is that I have an exam tomorrow too, so I have to endure that before I can play the game! I'm not usually a fan of games set in older times but check this out!
