  1. Oh yes, I remember you said you mostly plays shooters & actions games. That's why I told about them. However, to each their own and it is fine by me. I just want to see different types of games, essentially new games. Funny thing as I also mentioned that because of all the exclusive games I should probably get PS3 instead of 360, but it wasn't my choice really. I didnt' expect to get as gift, but still I like my xbox and I remember I liked it more than PS back in those days. Another thing I wanted to say, is above all of things there's one which bothers me most in the new xbox, and it is always-on Kinect. I mean. all that DRM stuff and hell of a lot restrisctions not the great thing, but I think eventually I will get use to it. However 24\7 watching\listening me device just creep the hell out of me, I just don't like it. I don't know how you disabled it, as fra as I know it might still listne you, and you can just turn it off by turning the whole system down, but if you can point me on details and that I am wrong I would like to see it. Otherwise, while there will be always watching me Kinect I am not going to purchase new console. Frankly, I can hardly tell the single reason why I should. I have read your post above about new xbox 1 'features' and I will get back to it later. As you mentioned 'Destiny' game here's the long-version gameplay from E3. It is from Sony conference but since it will be cross platform title I see no harm to post video in here. I think you will love it, as game looks very good. I won't play it though, but I am not going to deny it looks like a top stuff indeed:
  2. Well, I watched Sony E3 press conf so I will try to keep it as short as possible. Right from the beginning I heard: 'Man, it's never been more exciting time to be in the game industry..' and I was like 'I know exactly what you mean' haha! I already knew all the good things he was going to say later on. But what impressed me most I think, it is not the conference, gaming content or all of the good things but the attitude. You see, after xbox event I had a feeling that Microsoft were so concentrated on themselves like they are so cool & awesome, they did this and that and you know, completely forgot about gamers. Sony guy who started the press conf, almost immediately turned it the right way - he did speak about gamers, you could feel that attitude, He thanked all of those who spent so much time and effort just to get on E3. Not biggy thing I know, but it was certainly a nice touch. And that was the whole conference. I actually felt that indeed those guys works for gamers not only for their money. I like it, even if it was not sincerely. The main parts of the event - games. Bascially I am still kind of overwhelmed by all of the games which been shown. It was short videos, but they just shows them over & over. I cannot even remember them all, I'm still a little bit excited. Oh and Indie games, there was so many Indie titles, not just Minecraft (I'm still smile) but real Indie games, there are so many of them! From now on it's 140 games on PS4, 40 of them are exclusives. And how many excluisves Microsoft has? 15 or something? Good point to think of. And there was some actually pretty interesting titles, I agree on 'The Order 1886', wonder what was the setting and how you can play it. I liked also 'The Dark Sorcerer' and get even more excited when realized it is actually Quantic Dream game (Beyond Two Souls creators). Check out trailers below, love it: And of course bunch of Indie games:
  3. Just watched the missed part of the MS event, and you know, I feel even more disappointed, mostly because of the time I wasted on it and got some negative emotions as well. Yes, some of the games were good and some stuff I even liked. But yet again, the feeling I got from the whole conference was just wrong for me. One fo the best looking game was Metal Gear Solid 5 and it is not even the xbox exclusive! Many games just another part of the series so basically only little few ones were new and not that I was soo hooked into them. Oh and I actually got me dinner yesterday just before the new Forza announce. I watched it today though and with new trailer of the game there was real car on the scene just because. What was the reason for that? I do not understand. Or perhaps cheap advertising the only thing which comes to my mind. And after that another thing being said from Microsoft: "Nobody has been more commited to supporting independent game developemnet than xbox." Really? I was reading and aware exactly the opposite, where lots of Indie titles were rejected by Microsoft while supported by Sony. Oh, and if you are speaking of 'more commited to support Indie devs' then I think the most support those developers actually gets on PC and particularly from Valve. So basically this is just a big lie from MS, or perhaps another way of cheap advertisment. And right after these words they made an example about Minecraft! Ahahaha I mean, really? Minecraft is definitely an Indie game, but it is a massive massive title and one of the most popular and playbale game in the world!! You can see it is one of the most LP game on youtube. It is an Indie game. It was. But now it is more like a big AAA title and Microsoft speaking of supporting Indie developers with example of Minecraft! I have a good laugh, thanks guys. I don't know, probably that's being just me and with some affection some sort of anger inside, but the way this event was presented, I see it more like 'We are worked so hard, we are so good and cool and please give us all of your money, becasue we want it and deserve it! Oh and we will watch you, so be nice'. I can understand the desire to earn money, but you know, there's on eprase which I guess MS not aware of this words: 'There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed.' Mahatma Gandhi And I guess they might will be aware of it. Got Ubisoft press conf now and waiting for full Sony event. Cannot wait. UPD: So, is it only me thinks all of those games (and most of announced) are all looks all the same? I mean, it was some difference of course, but essentially it is all about shooters, shooters and shooters. Apart from some titles, the rest is just another part of another series or re-make of the old game from the past, like Crimson Dragon or Killer Instinct (with MS proudly said 'we listened'). Don't get this wrong, those are good games and you're right, pretty good lookin' (should have add MGS as well, but I guess you didn't because it is not X1 only game), but them just pretty much games many people already played. How about something new & unique? I never played Halo and yeah, I am not interested, however I understand it is great game for many generations of players, so fair enough about exciting part. But still, you said it, you are not gonna buy console just because of Halo & few more games. You may say, I don't like shooters and action games, and that is true. However, despite the fact I don't like them I would like at least try 'The last of Us', despite it is yes, all about action & shooting (and I also pretty much don't like postapocaliptic setting as well), but there's something in this game that I want to play. Uncharted series all about action game with guns, I would still love to play it. Beyond Two Souls, I do not much know about the game yet, but still it looks like some kind of action and still I would love to buy and play it. Watch Dogs, basically shooter, and and you guessed it, I want to play it. So, you see where my point is. All of those shooters presented by MS, just looks all the same to me, static and stale. It is good to have them, but it is not enough becasue it is not new. And that Ryse game, gameplay demo was boring enough for me never really look for this game again. Big 'yawn'. On the other side, I actually liked Crimson Dragon. I think it is from the old Sega (shame I never really played this game) so might be good. But still it is not that kind of game just to get into buying new xbox. After that fail xbox event in May I thought MS will be try so hard to show something really impressive and cool that you'll just forget about all the mess or at least think that all that DRM stuff just enough price to get the new cool exlusives. Unfortunately, I do not think so. Not for me. It is all about 'need moar pew pew' thingy I guess. Yeah, I think that's the main problem. I might of course be wrong, but watched the whole event and way MS been speaking about things and details got me into feeling, that the company itself just think exaclty like this. That they are good guys and they got it all right, so everyone just should agree. I think MS don't even think that all the rstrictions and Kinect thing are wrong in some place and some point. They believe it's how gaming should be done nowadays. This attitude I do not like. As for points & cards. I think they will get rid of points and eventually might do the same with cards. And you got it right, thus many gamers will be just pushed off. And I actually rememeber reading that some of the Scandinavian countries does problems with their credits\banks card and direct purchasing thus they used to buy points. Now basically they pretty much screwed if points will be taken off. And last but not least, all the xbox 1 exclusives will be eventually out on PC in a few years I think. When PC will got the lvl next gen consoles have, many games will be out on PC. You can see this now, so many titles, apart from very few, now available on computers around the world, some of them even DRM-free and I see this pattern will only continue.
  4. Well, Microsoft E3 event is over. Watching now post-show on IGN. I missed the main part of it (MS event), but watched the very beginning and the very end. I would occasionally catch the whole footage but from what I saw - just meh. Funny thing, MS yet again made a new version of 360 and why I have a feeling it is all about just get a 'little bit' more money. And it's looks like the X1. Well give me the new controller with this one and I might think aboiut. As for games, I'm already hardly remember what has been shown haha. It was dinner time so I got back about ~15 mins before end, saw some Halo footage, Titanfall and something else I guess. Right, the new battlefield. Gotta watch missed footage, hope to see something more good for me. Otherwise, not really impressed. I mean, for me all of these not really the reason to buy console which will be hell of the restrictions with few games I might ocassionally play. Next event is EA one, which I will happily skip. Ubisoft & Sony after it, which I am looking forward to, but I will more likely will be sleeping so gotta watch them tomorrow. Oh and one more thing. During its Xbox Media Briefing, Microsoft announced that it is eliminating Microsoft Points and switching its purchase currencies to local currencies for all players. Now you'll actually know how much you're spending without doing calculations! So yeah, as I am using US account, MS points the only way for me to buy things through xbox live. If MS will also get rid of xbox live cards, which I was using, I cannot renew my gold account. I think that's where I might actually say adieu & goodbye. And just a little bit more - from next month (till X1 launch?) MS will give away 2 games free for xbox live gold users so yeah, probably if I will still able I might want renew mine then
  5. Yeah, good point right above ^ Just want to add, that many new games will be out not only on PS4 but PS3 as well, so you will only win. Probably instead of next gen console, you might get PS3 and will have lots of games. Also here's the last trailer on Watch Dogs. I know it will be out on 360 & PC, however as far as I know this game originally was supposed to be PS3 exclusive and it will probably will get more bonuses. Pretty cool video, that's why I waiting particularly for Ubisoft E3. Last year ones was good.
  6. I finally got some good video about xbox one and essentially it is pretty creepy one as well
  7. I was thinking about and decided, that instead of spamming 20 more pages I probably might do better share the folder link with all the players episodes. I will occasionally fill it up accroding the upgrade on the official site. When the full series will be revealed, I once again will re-post this link. Here's the folder link: http://www.mediafire.../?pa6873m97gbuo If you will approach any difficulties or perhaps have some questions, let me know.

  9. Oh I see. I was looking for some settings inside my profile instead. Thank you for answer and for reading all my posts as well
  10. I see what you mean here. But I should make myself more clear then and ask instead how do you define activity. There are might be few users who will regularly post let's say in England Discussion forums thus you will get new threads and posts every day. However you won't going to see hundreds and thousands views, unless those few guys will endlessly view those topics all day long, which is a little bit insane of course. For me this is activity, as for forums itslef where the main things is not only posts but views as well, it is not. Am I right here? Anyway I would also like to say, that chance people will post here or elsewhere, not only depends on view counts and recent activity, but also their own desire to post and perhaps something more advance. For example, I eventually visit fbtz forums, however I don't want to post there, I don't feel like it despite the fact there are heaps of activity, many topics, subforums for many clubs and active conversations, it is all there. But I do not want post there. I want to post on Soccershouts, doesn't matter how active (or not) & flooded (or not) forums, how many people around. Unless of course it is abandoned place and last post been made like years ago I actually statred posting here because of that. It was one of the reason. Of course it is me, and I'm not speaking for everybody, but I am sure there are users like me as well in some way. It is like playing a game you really like. You won't bother if it's old, bad or short, if you like you will play it. The same with movies, books, I guess with many things. Perhaps not the best exmaple, I know, but that's just to make myself clear. And of course there's no way I'm trying to convince you to something, just feel like I have to say it. Anyway, seeing those graphics and statistics I understand what you means. That is just fair enough. I think will not touch this subject again, perhaps some time later when some things will change around (or not). As on cutoff, great to see many topics back. Thank you for dropping it. I think as main purpose of the forums is soccer\football itself it is understandable people come here not just because speak of computer games or music. Thus I think it will be handy just put cutoff down for all those offtopic threads and leave it in soccer\football threads. Someone will ocassionaly visit and post in offtopics forums as well, at least now some threads over there. I also would like to know how can I adjust my board view settings, or does it works only for board staff? Thank you for explaining these things to me, appreciate it.

  12. But that what exactly keeps me from posting in England discussions and pushing me off, haha. You'll wait when there will be enough Liverpool's threads to make it a subforum while me waiting when it will be separate subforum to start making enough posts & topics and flood it. Just like a secluded circle for me. I wonder what's others opinion on this and what the motivation to post. But let's say, if I will actively make threads and will flood it by myslef, will it be enough to make separate subforum or you will wait for more people to join me ? What is the main purpose, I mean do you need an activity or more active users? I'm just curious, nothing more I won't gonna spam threads just for the sake of it, no worries. As for hidden posts, I am not fully udnderstand what does 'adjust a cutoff' means in this case. But I think I will leave this question because I see you aware of it and will change it. Thank you for quick response.
  13. I would like to share recent thought that I've had, while browsing forums. So I was thinking to make a few threads in English soccer sections, some things about Liverpool, probably not the most important ones but still. However, right now there's quite a mess in whole English forums, as many threads & categories been merged, I thought those threads will be eventually lost and decided not to do that. I understand though, this forums requiers some clean and restruction and of course I know you will do that in time. However my point is to make it better and easy, as well as rebuild it in some kind of structure as it was before. I remember due to lack of activity, you deleted all the subforums and did as one England soccer one. It is understandable but it is actually pushing me off to post more. I think it might be better to remake those subforums, as for some clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, make separate section for Championship as well, because there are lots of good teams and I know Muur do some posts about Bolton, when he is around. It will be quite handy and useful, also easy and quicker find what you actually looking for. I know TNB wanted to clean these forums so hopefully he will look for this suggestion as well. I actually liked those subforums and it might atract more users in the future. I know there are many Liverpool supporters around, and many of them share some bits of thoughts in LFC Video thread. If activity for some clubs will be big, you may eventually create more subforums if it will be needed. Another thing I would like to talk about is hidden threads. I remember it was done about the same time as England forums were merged. I don't know how this thing is actually work but I realized that it maybe another point to think about. I browsed some forums, like Another sport section for an instance, and didn't find any single thread inside. it is just empty. I mean I know the reason, I know threads are there you just need to search it, however how many new users or even current ones actually aware of this? Let's take this example, new guy registered and browsed some forums. He want to make thread in Game section about Skyrim, As you might see, there's no such thread, you can't see it. Just a few threads about some games, so what would he do? That's right, he will make Skyrim thread. I would do the same. I am sure not many people knows about this system which make inactive threads hidden or archive or whatever you call it. I didn't know about before, it unusual and uncommon. I mean, I like to use search when I see lots of threads just to make sure avoid double thread or find ones I looking for. But if I see few threads I won't gonna do search. No point, because I think I know there's only few ones. Thus we will eventually make double threads instead which will make forums even more flooded. On the other hand, let's imagine, someone made thread in video section and post some old match or documentary or something many supporters were looking for. No need to post in this thread regularly, people just visit it, download file. However, after some time of inactivity, thread will disappear. As well as capper's work and after some time another user will come and make thread with request for this file without knowing there it is. Thus yet again more threads. I can see purpose of this system, it actually might be quite good, when forums has hundreds of posts every day and really big activity, where hard to moderate and look for every single topic in particular. But in SS case, when most users come here for videos and not look for discussions, eventually more and more topics will be hidden, and some sections will be like ghosts one. So if it possible I think it will be good bring everything back. Well not everything, manually delete some old threads, clean a little and leave the rest of them. Well I remember there was alot of topics in Liverpool subforum, but I cannot remember the names of them so I have to start again. Which is another negative thing here. I suggest to think about. That was again long post, so appreciate your time for reading this. I hope I am not sounds like moaner, I like and admire all your job around here, your desire to make this place better and welcome. Just want to suggest and help as well. Thank you (:
  14. It is upgrade, not downgrade, Luke
  15. I think I know what are you talking about and that's actually pretty good feature. As for skins, Eight & Modern are my favourite ones but I can see the point of their deletion, so probably can pick something new. Thanks for quick answer
  16. If some of you played the very first Max Payne, you might see how resembling this guy to orirginal character of this game. Or better say, it's Max Payne resembling Sam Lake (guy from video) becasue Sam was the prototype. The point of this video is actually it's just a little over one day you can buy Alan Wake: Collectors Edition & American Nightmare (along with lots of other bonuses) just for any price you want, on Humble Bundle. It's DRM-free of course. If you will spend $1 or more you will get Steam keys as well. Here's the link http://www.humblebundle.com/weekly
  17. That was worries me the most. Perhaps I can live with all kind of restrictions & limitations, I have quite good Internet connection and unlimited bandwidth, not really bother to trade games, however knowing that some weird eye will be watching me every time, 24\7, and recodrind all my life thus some FBI Microsoft guys can have in cloud storage just scary me off. You know, this all reminds of the Watch Dogs game from Ubisoft. Did you see some trailers od it? Where the whole world can be controlled by numerous digital devices, computers and programs. So this is basically happens. The idea of what Microsoft trying to do is implement some sort of controll over you. If new xbox will be exact like it is now I won't be upset that much, there's still lots of ways to play games. But imagine if it will work (xbox one) and that will means, our future might be not that bright. Many can follow Microsoft example, thus more restrictions. it sounds perhaps silly but all those movies about evil corporations which will controll people, actually might be true. There's another thing I wanted to post about but there's video already. As it's been said, 'region-locking is currently almost non-existent on PS3, a console that answers to the same country-specific regulatory guidelines'. I just wonder, how big should confidence be or perhaps desire to make money, better say. Cannot wait for E3 so to see what those games you can play on xbox one.
  18. Sounds good, looking forward to. Is there will be any visaul changes or perhaps some more features? I know it all will be announced in the right time, I just curious (: I also would like to know more about skins that will be departing. As I am the only one who use 'Eight' theme, I hope it won't mean it will be deleted. Or perhaps introduce the new one similar to it. I agreed on gallery however. I almost never used it and I always keep it hidden. As main purpose of these forums is sharing video content, such as matches, highlights and compilations, which is quite popular, I think this is good idea. Appreciate this update, thank you.
  19. @@indo_reds, Haha, what do you mean ?

  21. I see you got an intro now (looks good) or perhaps it was there all the time and I just realized it haha. Enjoyed the video, still find some moments I've never seen before. Is skills show 2 coming? Added separate links for Carragher's documentary.
  22. If you think there's too much control and DRM things with new Microsoft console, then you might think again, because there is probably even more - Visual DRM. Xbox One: Will Kinect 2 Use Visual DRM? Microsoft has responded to fresh privacy concerns over a patent from 2011 that suggests Kinect 2 may be used as a form of visual DRM, should the company decide to implement such a measure in Xbox One. ExtremeTech discovered the filing back in November, which is labelled as covering "content distribution regulation by viewing user." Theoretically, if the Kinect establishes there are more people in the room than is permitted according to the licence that users agree to when renting of purchasing content, the movie won't play. "The users consuming the content on a display device are monitored so that if the number of user-views licensed is exceeded, remedial action may be taken," it reads. According to unverified "industry sources" spoken to by MCV within the last month, this is a real thing Microsoft is planning to implement on Xbox One using Kinect 2. Today, however, the company has responded to speculation with the following statement: "Microsoft regularly applies for and receives patents as part of its business practice; not all patents applied for or received will be incorporated into a Microsoft product." That appears to be all the information the company is sharing for now. While there's no guarantee it's true, if it is then it's latest instance of a potentially concerning encroachment into privacy. Seeing as we already know that the Kinect 2's microphone will always be on and the new console won't function without the device, such a measure isn't out of the question. Microsoft has, however, already told Polygon that privacy is of the utmost importance when it comes to Xbox One and Kinect. "The new Kinect is listening for a specific cue, like 'Xbox on'. We know our customers want and expect strong privacy protections to be built into our products, devices and services, and for companies to be responsible stewards of their data. Microsoft has more than 10 years of experience making privacy a top priority. Kinect for Xbox 360 was designed and built with strong privacy protections in place and the new Kinect will continue this commitment." IGN

  24. Microsoft Explains Xbox One Controller’s New Buttons Microsoft has explained the names and functionality of those mysterious new buttons on Xbox One’s controller where Start and Back appeared on Xbox 360. According to a Microsoft representative, these buttons are named “Menu
