  5. Having so much duscussion just another proof how unclear & confusing Microsofr event was. One thing whether is good or bad, but wonder and have that much questions in just a few days is something I didn't really expect to. I cannot remember what was Sony event all about (perhaps because I haven't seen and just did watch some short videos after) but at least many things they did say were about games. As you might already noticed, all my points were not about myslef (though some of them really concerns me), I mean I'm not complain that much about those restriction, always on internet and even headsets. However, there are so many restrictions & limitations and odd things, that you eventually think, do you really want xbox tv which you cannot watch or you just want new gaming console which should play your games. As for headsets, I might doubt there will be some sort of adapters, due to Microsoft decision change proprietary chat port & abandon the chat cable, however here already some news about this: Microsoft Taps Turtle Beach for Xbox One Headsets Hot on the heels of our report that the Xbox One would be incompatible with current-generation gaming headsets, Microsoft and Turtle Beach have announced a partnership to produce new gaming audio products using the console's new proprietary chat port. Additional details about the new range of accessories aren't expected to arrive until E3, but the company promises pricing and release information will be revealed in "the coming weeks." While Turtle Beach is said to be "among the first" to market with new audio products for the Xbox One, Microsoft will also be partnering with other brands. With the introduction of the Xbox One, Microsoft has abandoned the chat cable used currently in the Xbox 360, rendering current products from brands like Turtle Beach, Astro Gaming, Tritton, and others capable of delivering only in-game audio. What's more, the company intends to closely manage third-party accessories via a licensing program that would require manufacturers to adhere to strict guidelines in order to support the new platform. Like many of the other lingering questions regarding the Xbox One, Microsoft's accessory plans will be discussed in greater detail at this year's E3. IGN As I said I don't really mind to buy another TB headset, as I might use my current on PC as well (and even PS 3 if I'm not mistaken) but still I feel some sort of restriction here once again. Might check what Sony will do about this or wait untill they announce it. I am up for changes. I like it and usually can adapt quickly to most of them, and many things may actually be good, at least for someone. That's a good question about new wired controllers. It seems you won't have them for Xbox One, I mean what the purpose? But making them only for PC might be a question for Microsoft.
  6. I was trying to keep it short, but I just cannot resist and sometimes just have no ability to make good & short posts, so my apology for all that long read. I cannot even call it shiny to be fair, it seems so boxy & oversized I care less how it looks like of course, as much as most gamers I believe, but in this case when all the 'features' mostly confusing and gives you heaps of restrictions rather than bonuses you want at least to think it will look nice & pretty. However, it is not. One thing I like about new Xbox One, is actuall controller. I was wondering whether it will be compatible with 360, but I believe now it was quite stupid guess and it won't. However there's a chance it will be compatible with PC. If you can find the way plug it into your machine.
  7. And one more 'good' news. Xbox One Incompatible with Current Gaming Headsets Of the many details that began to trickle out of Microsoft's Xbox One reveal, the next-gen console's controller accessory port went largely unnoticed, but its inclusion could have a lasting impact for players. As we learned during our hands-on session, the new controller will come equipped with a new, proprietary data port that replaces the chat cable connector found on the current generation, which a trusted source tell us will make the system incompatible with existing gaming headsets, including high-end audio products like those made by Astro Gaming, Turtle Beach, Tritton, and others. While game audio will be available through the system's optical port, in order to support chat communications, headsets will be required to make use of the new connection type. While it's possible that either Microsoft or third-party makers could develop an adapter to offer backwards compatibility, we're told that the new port is part of a larger strategy to gain control over the accessory market. Manufacturers will not only need to develop entirely new products for the new connection standard, but use licensing and authentication protocols from Microsoft, potentially driving up costs for consumers. The licensing program could also limit the variety and competitive nature of the accessory market since all manufacturers would be required to adhere to Microsoft's terms. On the other hand, the proprietary format could offer significant improvements to the chat audio experience. The new data port reportedly supports stereo audio, potentially for the purpose of delivering game audio directly from the controller or simply boosting mono chat audio in the current-gen to stereo. In the case of the latter, stereo chat audio could lead to virtualized directional communications, allowing players to hear where a nearby player is speaking from — a feature currently found in PC titles like ARMA 2. When reached for comment, Microsoft representatives didn't explicitly state that current hardware was incompatible, but rather that the company was focusing on new devices: "We are working with 3rd party headset manufacturers to create new headsets that will take full advantage of the Xbox One technology," company representatives said. "We will share more details in the future." It's also unclear is whether Microsoft is currently developing a headset solution of its own or will instead utilize the Kinect's noise cancellation and player detection technology to serve as the primary chat receiver. IGN I'm not going to complain about my Turtle Beach headset. I still can use it with PC anyway, however I can imagine huge frustration from many gamers around. Basically, all your cool stuff won't going to work with new xbox.
  8. @, Very good video, I'm not much into editing stuff but I think this compilation itslef feels pretty natural, seamlessly so to speak Well done and thank you!
  9. Thus basically, you actually must have internet connection and quite good right? I do not want offend anyone, but there are still many places in the wrold without internet or unsettled, low speed broadband. I believe there are still people who have tv but not IP providers and who wants just to plug the console and play games without bothering themselves with switching channels by voice or havinf Skype in 1080p. And they probably have no chance to try it. And how about those, who have limited bandwidth? They will run it out pretty much for a few days with this One. To be honest, for me this is already looks like a disaster. Well, perhaps, not a disaster, it still way to early to name it, but it is feels like pretty big mess. One thing which is really appears to me is that there's so much confusing and ucnlear information around it. Many things been avoided and then answered in a different ways. I believe many gamers still wondering how new xbox will actually work. I even doubt Micrsoft itslef fully aware of it. I mean, I can understand you not gonna tell everything in first place in an hour, but what was the purpose to set up so much vagueness instead of perhaps some bits of actual things? I actually spent some time during these days to read and watch some information and reactions, have watched Angry Joe review, which was just hilarious and the more I read the more confusing and negative it all become. I actually realized, that xbox one fully oriented for Amercian audience. Or at least all the main 'features' and people from Europe won't going to see all of this 'exclusive' content. I know this because I already have US account for my xbox 360 and most of the content which goes with Gold Live as you might guess, not available for me because of the IP location outside North America. I decided to go with US account mostly because of the game store, which is the best I think and I also wanted to watch ESPN and football (soccer), but it won't available for me. So I guess with new xbox it will work pretty much the same for me. And basically from all of the 'features' I will have the ability to speak with my Kinect and xbox Which is great but how about something more for next gen console? 1080p Skype you say? Awesome! Exactly what I have been dream of. That not much of a complain of course, some sort of irony, nothing more. But I wonder, how many American gamers are actually interesting in all that tv thing? Or perhaps NFL and fantasy football? yeah I believe many have interest in that, but does it mean you cannot watch football or tv without your xbox? Perhaps, we might actually misunderstood Microsoft in that case, as I have a feeling, they trying so hard to push off all the actuall gamer audience and instead attract more casual people? I mean, do they even competing with Sony for #1 gaming console? Maybe it's not that much gaming console anymore and their main opponents now tv providers? I also watched this part of IGN podcast, with opinion that 'always online' option is some sort of DRM ? I like by the way, how you did that videos now automatically embed here. So, you can see from this point that xbox one just one big DRM machine which will show you tv and you have to pay subscription fee every month to run it. Which reminds me of MMORPG with monthly fee which force you to pay every month just to play the game you already bought. You see, when you buys game for xbox with multiplayer, this multiplayer won't going to work until you will 'unlock' it by subbing to Gold Live. I was kinda neutral after that live stream event, should I say even a little bit excited. But more I read and watch about this console, trying to understand where this actually some good things, more disappointing & unclear it appears to me. Perhaps, good thing it to wait until E3 and see some games. I also may think, that all this confusion just because Microsoft trying to see gamers reaction and will think hard, what to do and what not. Perhaps.
  10. Indie Devs Can't Self-Publish on Xbox One Independent developers wishing to get games on Xbox One's Xbox Live Arcade will still be unable to self-publish, it has been announced. As it currently stands, indie devs must get a publishing deal with either Microsoft Games Studios or a third-party publisher to get their games on XBLA. The exception to this is titles that opt to release on Xbox Live Indie Games, though this has more financial drawbacks for developers than the more lucrative Arcade section. There was some speculation following Sony's commitment to independent developers with the PS4 that Microsoft would make things easier for everyone to get games on its console, but it seems this won't be the case. The company's general manager of Redmond Game Studios and Platforms Matt Booty told Shacknews, "We intend to continue to court developers in the ways that we have." He did suggest this could change in the future though, adding, "I would also expect that for this new generation, that we're going to continue to explore new business models and new ways of surfacing content. But Microsoft Studios is a publisher that works with a wide range of partners, as do a lot of other people, to bring digital content to the box." Both Sony and Nintendo allow indie devs to self-publish through PSN and eShop, respectively. IGN Probably not the worst nightmare, but I can only inagine how many good games will be missing out on Xbox One. I have read also, that all of those limitations already prevented some number of games from ever appearing on xbox 360.

  12. That's interesting, but I presume many gamers were just about to expect that (have a connection at least once per 24 hours). Main point, that you don't have while playing, to be 24/7 online. It is neither an issue for me in both cases however I use router which gives Internet access to both my PC & xbox and sometimes, it freezes for some reason, rarely but still. And this may happen while I'm playing, thus if always-on connection is requiers I would be off the game and have to start again. One thing though, if you need Internet to boot up that means if you basically do not have Internet access you cannot play xbox one? Do you have router as well or you just use separate cable plugged into xbox? exactly what I've been thinking. And that's pretty much how I got my current 360, slim, big hdd, bag free with lots of games available. Good way to follow this pattern on next gen consoles
  13. @@i7x, I was hoping someone will do 'Ibe v QPR' video, glad you did it, thanks mate I love Jordon. I watched him alot this season for U18s & U21s. I had a close look at him when team goes for North American pre-season tour last Summer. I knew about him, but hardly seen him before so that was a good opportunity. He played well for the whole season, well you can see why he got his first team game. Very talented young fella with good piece of confidence and lack of fear. Important thing is, as John Aldridge said, Ibe is a very level-headed. I can see it when he talks. I also may say he is quite unselfish, which is rare thing. I just hope Brendan won't going to rush him like he did with young Raheem. Better slowly but rightly introduce him into the team and he might be hell of a player in the future.
  14. Well, that figures.
  15. @@mkalota, I already feel overwhelmed when reading someone say 'thank you' to me, but seeing that 'living legend' I feel like almost embarrassing I think there's something with Rafa as well in this Documentary. Good video Tai, thanks
  16. Yeah I watched some short videos after live stream about machine itslef, controller, kinect. I also was skiping part after Microsoft started to show EA Sports games & Call of Duty, it was pretty much boring for me. As for the name, I think 'One' means more like all-in-one box than just xbox first. Also can you imagine when some friends will ask you what are you doing, and you will say something like 'I'm playing my Fusion or Durango'. Sounds odd & long and most people will say xbox anyway. So now you basically will have the same xbox and adding one, or just one will be much easier to remember. That's way I like it. Not that impressed, but it's just feels fine. My main concern is that Xbox One will not work without Kinect, so you have to always plug it in. I feel good by having it, as I understand Kinect will be included, but what bothers me is how it will actually work. All of that new features, I mean it's cool you can just say your Kinect what to do and manipulate it with voice and your hands, but I would really like to have casual ability just to grab my controller, hits few buttons and play the game without doing anything else. Apart from that, it's fine. it doesn't requier always-on connection, good specs, I think pretty similar to PS4. As for mandatory installs and all that trading\lending, it won't be an issue for me. I am not that type of person who will go to a friends and bring some games with me, I am also never really into the trading my own games or buying it from others. If I will buy the game, it will be pretty much with me even if after just 5 minutes I will quit and never play it again. I used to it and usually I pick games by thinking hard enough. And it's pretty much like Tseam work, isn't it? Once you bought game, you cannot do anything about it. There's however might be some sort of way - if you will go to friends and just log into your account, you can play your game right? Anyway, the most important things for me - is a good controller and games. I like the controller and I didn't see much of games yet, so it's way to early for me to think whether I will buy it or not. On other hand, I cannot say I am hugely impressed with PS 4 either. I didn't even see it, thought some of the titles looks promising. So right now I'm gonna stick with my PC and just enjoy it. And sometimes plug into 360 as well
  17. Some more information from IGN: Xbox One Will Not Function Without Kinect Attached After a Microsoft-hosted London event around the Xbox One reveal, Xbox's UK marketing director Harvey Eagle has said that the console will not function without Kinect connected. "Kinect does require to be connected to Xbox One in all cases, yes," he said. Asked whether the Xbox One will accommodate people who perhaps play in their bedroom rather than their living room, Eagle replied: "Yes, absolutely. We use the living room almost as a moniker - that's where we assume the best screen is in the house. But if you like to play in any other room in the house, the Xbox One will deliver the same quality of experience whatever the environment." As anyone who's ever tried to play with Kinect in an enclosed area knows, the current technology simply doesn't support it - which means that Xbox One's new Kinect sensor must be significantly different if it will work in any room in the house. Xbox One May Have Mandatory Game Installs Reports are claiming that Xbox One will require all games to be installed on the console's HDD before they can be played. According to Wired, if owners want to use the disc with a second account they'll be asked to pay a fee and install the game from the disc, suggesting that once games are installed you won't need to insert the disc to play. It's unclear what this means for the secondhand market, though Microsoft announced on an FAQ page (since removed) that the Xbox One is designed "to enable customers to trade in and resell games. We'll have more details to share later." It didn't reference the fees confirmed by Microsoft to Wired. We're not entirely sure what this means but have reached out to Microsoft for clarification and will update the story as soon as we hear back.
  18. I was waiting for your response and thought you would make a new thread about. Considering your reaction and disappointment I can see why you didn't. Good post though, very well explained all the main points, reaction and expectations. Me also just finished to watch through the live stream, missed I think the most important parts (beginnig) and most not important one (kinnect). I wasn't even aware how Microsoft did call it and then finally got it. I was quite suprised with Xbox One, but you know, I actually like the name. I'm not saying it is the best & greatest name ever, but with all the rumoured names like Infinity, Fusion, Durango and what was another one, I think this is actually quite simple, easy and nice. And short of course, imagine you will call your xbox something like Fusion haha! I just wonder how did they come with One though, was it the name from the beginning and all of those Durnago just for heap or did they actually wanted to call it something like that, but changed their minds at the very last moment? Anyway, good name, I like it. As for console itself, I think I just way too old for all that cool & overpowered stuff to be honest and not sure I even like design. It feels heavy and weird. Controller looks alright though. Pretty similar to the current one, but I think why change something nearly perfect, right? Have to try it. haha exactly. There was one game though, Quantum Break from creators first Max Payne (one of the shooters I actually like) & Alan Awake. Liked trailer and hope they will reveal some more information and video in the near future. it also been said about 15 exclusives, and 8 new ones. But I think it is still a bit early to say it's good or bad. All information about nex Xbox One in one short video: And that's the trailer of the game I've been talking, Quantum Break. Looks good: More information about hardware: The system includes 8GB of RAM, an 8-Core CPU, a 500GB hard drive, a Blu-ray drive, HDMI in and out ports, USB 3.0, 802.11n wireless, and more. It also includes a new version of the Kinect sensor. The Xbox One will not require an always-on internet connection. The news came during today’s much-hyped Xbox Reveal event and puts numerous rumors to rest including names like Fusion, Xbox 720, Xbox 8 and Loop. It also ends the need for the system’s long-running codename, Durango. ign.com Loop?
