  1. I too have heard nothing but good things. With writing and direction by Joss Whedon I am guaranteed to be seeing Avengers. I do find that just about everything he is involved in is excellent.
  2. Still a shame what happened with the EF boards though. Having gone through the same thing with the closure of SoccerPulse, it really does suck to lose a site you've called home for a long while.
  3. The amount of drugs Vermont State Police say they found on Alex Boulet is substantial. But where they allegedly found the enormous quantity of cocaine, pills and pot makes the story of Boulet's arrest truly jaw-dropping. In a press release, Senior Trooper Michael Studin says he found 84 bags of crack cocaine, 218 Oxycodone pills and approximately 11 grams of marijuana hidden inside Boulet's rectum. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mobileweb/2012/05/14/alex-boulet-crack_n_1514961.html?ncid=edlinkusaolp00000003
  4. Thanks, that's good to know. I'm sure our links have made it to plenty of other soccer sites by now, but it's interesting hearing that we're showing up on other sport sites too.
  5. New Skin A new skin is available to all users of the site, including guests. The name of the new theme is "Simple Blue", and you can preview this skin using the Change Theme link at the very bottom of the board.
  6. External Notifications Chrome users can now install the Tapatalk Notification plugin and be notified of new replies to subscribed topics and new private messages even when not currently on the SoccerShouts site. You can read more info on the plugin and install it from the Chrome web store here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/plfhcjljnfjpfcbjpgnflfofmahljkjj
  7. There is a post requirement of 5 posts before you are able to post in that section. I see you have 5 posts now so you should be able to post in Requests now.
  8. Ugh upgrade turned on importing of status updates. What a mess...again. Should be fixed from here on though.

Just fixed an error in skin permissions that was keeping some people from using the Create skin.

  9. Watched In Time last night. 7/10
  10. Mobile apps support for Tapatalk and Forum Runner have been updated. An updated standard mobile skin will be continue to be available for those without the apps.

  11. Movie/TV tie in properties can be very hit or miss, though I'd say more than average miss the mark pretty badly. This one is interesting because I don't recognize the studio (Cyanide) but I'm familiar with Atlus as they publish a lot of JRPG content. I understand your hesitation though, and I'm hoping to see a demo available for this game. I play very few tie-in games because of the general quality. The last title that comes to mind as being truly good for such a title was actually The Chronicles of Riddick. Edit: in an update to my earlier post, I just read the newest edition of Game Informer magazine. My 7-8 estimate for Dragons Dogma was quite close. They gave it an 8.5.
  12. Coming this month is the new Game of Thrones video game. I follow the TV series quite regularly, so I'm somewhat interested in seeing how the game turns out. Also this month is Dragon's Dogma, a game I've been watching for a while now and recently got to play the demo. Hard to say how it's going to be received critically, but I'll guess in the 7-8 out of 10 range. Anyone else check out these titles or getting anything else coming out soon?
  13. Tags are now required when submitting a new thread. This is done in advance of our system updates, which will use the tags system to greater effect for finding similar threads.

  14. Given that info, I'd say the generation was near the beginning of the Genesis/SNES era, but due to the expensive cost of the new machine you got regular old NES. Unless of course you had got your hands on the Japanese system, the Famicom. Either of those look familiar?
  15. I just came across a treasure trove of my collection from PS1. Crash Bandicoot, Tekken, etc. Had to throw a couple into my console for a few minutes for historical value. Glad I own the old backwards compatible PS3, as handed the PS1 off to a friend who would get more use from it. I wish I had time to actually go back and play some of these titles again, but my current gen backlog is significant.
  16. Nice. I've had friends clocked just a bit below that, but never rode one myself. Been in a car around 180mph but that's about it.
  17. Forum upgrade coming this month.

      Major? Or just tweaks?

For the most part, minor. There's a lot changing, but most of it is mod level and system level stuff. The amount of code changes mean we lose a few third party addons, but generally things will continue to be about the same in looks and function.

  18. I still think our best option is just to create a couple of threads in Other Sports for Olympic topics of interest.
  19. I agree with you when it comes to finding artists. But I do most of my listening in the car. When I'm trying to work or think I usually appreciate quiet though, which is why I don't listen as much at home. As for Metallica, black album and prior was of course their best work. But I also kinda liked Load/Reload. From there I really felt it went downhill quick.
  20. Is this dubstep thing actually a genre? I don't pay much attention to trends, so aside from seeing like one random video on Youtube I know nothing about it. As per my occasionally rotating profile video, I mostly listen to country music. Beyond that, I would also be found having some rock/metal on my mp3 player. That varies from things like Metallica and Disturbed to Nightwish or Epica to Gothminister. Generally highburys deep following of the various groups often leave me stunned. I could never keep up with that many groups. I've never even heard of any of the groups listed in the post above.
  21. I tend to read news from numerous sources daily; here's one from yesterday. The man on the graphic photo below is a 42-year-old shop owner in the Meilan District of Haikou City, in Hainan, that big island south of mainland China. He is dead. A 41-year-old woman killed him. By squeezing his testicles. http://gizmodo.com/5905648/woman-kills-man-squeezing-his-testicles
  22. I know exactly what you are talking about. The game is called Duck Hunt. Yeah, creative naming for sure. Had the light gun and all. Would probably still have fun playing a game like that even today.
  23. I never owned Dreamcast though I did get to play it on a couple of occasions. The only game I really remember was Crazy Taxi.
  24. Never did do Goldeneye, but never got into anything James Bond, so that probably had great effect on that decision. Thanks for reminding me about Gamecube though. That's another system I did have a brief go at like N64, but actually forgot about it. Once again the only thing I played somewhat regularly was Mario Kart Double Dash. Both Gamecube and N64 were systems I gave away to friends who had less systems and would get more use out of them.
  25. I would say Mario Kart, Mario 64, and Road Rash were the reasons I even kept the N64 as long as I did.
