  1. I thought you were over that. Relapse? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. At least back then you would have been able to register. Thanks to newer child protection laws we don't register users who declare their age under 13. We could bother with processing parental consent forms by mail or fax but it's seriously not worth the effort. Besides that, I can honestly say I've never even used a fax machine. I have no intention to start now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I wonder how many of us have grown up on these boards over the years. SP started in 2002. It was early May and I was just about to turn 19 at the end of the month. Now I'm old, SP is gone and SoccerShouts is here, but we're still doing this stuff.
  4. SoccerPulse, what's that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Long story. Short version is this: He and Galataman never really got along. He was pushing to have Galataman's mod powers removed, and I wouldn't agree to that. So the childish response was to try to erase the forum. Fortunately we have very good daily backups. It just takes a bit of time to restore everything properly.
  6. Far as I know, registration has been an issue for years. This was more of a public service message for older members that had accounts, as the site has been around for a long time.
  7. Welcome to the SoccerShouts.com message boards. We rely on you, the visitor, to help keep this board enjoyable for all. Please report all violations of the rules below to SoccerShouts.com staff via the post reporting system available in all threads. Moderators do not read every post, so please do not expect intervention unless you personally report the problem. Thanks for your cooperation. Version: January 2013 BY POSTING HERE, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING GENERAL BOARD RULES: 1. You will not start a new topic (aka hit the "new topic" button) if the topic already exists. Always search for an existing topic to reply to, and only start a new one if you are sure the topic has not been discussed recently. (Search engine link is on the top right corner of every board page) 2. You will post your topic on the correct board. With many new messages posted every day, it is necessary to have several boards dedicated to the more popular conversation topics. Please think about which board your topic belongs in before posting your message. 3. You will be tolerant and respectful of your fellow visitors. Criticism of ideas and opinions is welcome, but you may not attack other members in any way. You will find every opinion imaginable here, so you may want to find another board if you are not able to keep your cool when someones viewpoint offends you. 4. Your message must add something of substance to the discussion. Do not post silly or incoherent messages (or one-liners) just because you are bored, or for any other reason. You are of course welcome to do so in the Lounge. 5. You will give credit for contents that are not yours. Stealing articles or videos made by another person and then claiming they are yours, is not acceptable. 6. Proper English, please. “Wat, r, u, ur
  8. Update January 15, 2015: This exception is being removed from the rules. This is old, outdated thinking as the rules developed years ago. I see no reason why we can't acknowledge there is a bigger Internet out there. There are sites that right now fall under this rule that I see no reason to disallow and others that just do some stuff better than we do. The spam rules still apply though, so blatent attempts to promote other sites, whether for footy or Viagra, will continue to be removed. General discussion that mentions other sites, and links to such sites in the course of discussion, will no longer be removed by SoccerShouts staff.

  10. Moving this to the Support forum as a pinned thread as that is where the deletion requests are posted.

  12. Within the next week or so, mobile app support for Forum Runner will be removed. I don't think this is going to affect many people, if any at all. However, if you are using the app to access SoccerShouts, you will soon find that you are no longer able to do so. While I dislike removing any options people may choose for accessing the site, Forum Runner appears to have ceased active development over a year ago. For security, I do not like to have abandoned code running on the site. For mobile access, I always recommend Tapatalk. You can download the app for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. Visiting the site directly from a mobile browser will also work and doesn't require an app.
  13. Actually been watching quite a bit of tv recently. Lets see: The Blacklist, Sleepy Hollow, The Strain currently. Walking Dead is about to come back. Out of season now but was watching: The Last Ship, Vikings, Helix, Black Sails, and Falling Skies. I probably forgot stuff too, but that's why the tv app on my phone is there to remind me not to miss shows.
  14. It's possible the particular videos you are looking for are only uploaded by one member who switched hosts. I just did a 10 second search through the video forum and the first two video links I followed from other members linked with Uploaded and Oboom. In regards to that image you posted, I'm sure you got that Oboom premium account for the same reason. Large files like that rarely have a free option on any hosting site. Again, this is a general forum. We're not operating a private specialty site. That's not what we are, not now and not in the 12 years preceding this during my time with SoccerShouts or our predecessor SoccerPulse. The very best sites out there are also considerably larger and have more opportunity to develop and enforce such rules. We're simply not a large operation, and have a limited number of people who continually contribute content. As such, I don't see it as a wise decision to create aggressive rules against a small contributing base. At our current size, it would cause far more harm than good, as losing just a few of our cappers who don't wish to follow uploading rules would quickly turn the video section into a ghost town. So, I'm sorry that things aren't working out for you here. But right now and for the foreseeable future, the rules won't be changing. If and when the time comes that we have multiple cappers covering many games, then those kinds of rules may be established to work with a wider audience. I'd rather hear the occasional complaint about premium hosts than the deluge of comments about the lack of any options if a few high profile cappers were to disappear.
  15. Hi, I would in most cases avoid buying long term subscription plans to download sites unless multiple sources you visit use them regularly. I don't have any more inside information to why a capper chooses to move to a different download site than anyone else. We don't require certain sources to be used, nor do we generally have any restrictions on hosts either. Keep in mind it may be a choice to move hosts, or a file host may have forced someones hand. If a file host gets too many copyright complaints, a cappers account may be restricted or cancelled. There could be reliability issues with a file host, or other unforeseen problems. Beyond that, there's not much that can be said for us. We simply provide a platform for sharing, be it discussions, video clips, or idle chatter in the Shoutbox. We don't host files, we don't promote specific content, and we don't have any requirements for how those who share choose to do so. I don't expect this response really helps your situation, but it seems some clarification was needed on our role as an information provider. Please feel free to continue discussion in this topic, and you can always contact me directly if you have any questions/concerns. -Bill
  16. Beginning today, premium membership packages have been simplified. There is now only a single subscription item, which you will find labeled Premium Membership. There are no longer three and six month options. A premium membership is for a full year. In addition, the cost of the membership has been reduced to $10 from $12 for the rest of the year. Members wishing to become premium can take advantage of this new price immediately. Current premium members on the 6-month plan will be able to renew to this single standard package when your current subscription is ending. You will no longer be able to renew into a 6-month plan. For more information on premium membership, please check out our subscriptions page.
  17. Hope that means you remember to save often.
  18. You get a few extra years of lenience. I would like to thank all of you who have contributed in any way to the site. This support has been very helpful over the years in keeping this place running.
  19. Seems only right to guarantee someone's access when they have given money to support the site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. In addendum to the above mentioned perk, Premium members will never be banned during the life of a subscription. Because you are a paying member, your right to view the content here on SoccerShouts will not be restricted. As before, the rules still apply, and abuse in posting or private messages may lead to restrictions on your ability to participate.
  21. Just watched Expendables 3. More of the same if you liked the previous movies. Guns, explosions and all the insane violence you could possibly want. In other words, a great night in front of the TV.
  22. A new perk for Premium members is that you will no longer be subjected to our warning/penalty system. This doesn't mean Premium members are exempt from the same rules as everyone else. However Premium member issues will need to be referred to an admin for review. The admin becomes solely responsible for reviewing the account and following up with the Premium member regarding actions that may be taken against the account.
  23. Welcome to the site nickles. Glad to hear Google is indexing more of our video content.
  24. I'm still enjoying the show, no doubt. But this season did seem a bit slow to me. I never have a problem with a slower pace when building the story, but it just seemed like a bit too much filler this time around. Still can't wait for the next season.
  25. As of today, SoccerShouts is now running from a different server. Hopefully the process came without issues, but if you notice anything out of place please let me know and I will see about fixing it as quickly as I can. So why the move? Well, SoccerShouts was running on our own server until today. It was somewhat costly, and fairly unnecessary based on the size of the site. Running our own server was a snap judgement a couple of years ago when we had a lot of trouble with a previous host. But along with that came extra costs, and the headaches of running a server (backups, updating software, etc). Now that I think I've found a very competent host, I'm convinced it will be far easier to let someone else handle the server admin tasks, as SoccerShouts can continue running just as before. If you run into any issue with things loading, try emptying your cache and reloading the site. That should clear up any issues with things it might still be trying to pull from the old server.
