Beginning in reverse order: a small and, what I thought, interesting/productive discussion was wiped clean from the recently posted Malaga-Dortmund 1/4 final UCL match. I would think it easy enough for whomever had deleted everything to, instead, relocate it appropriately (presumably it was one "footballers," but I can't possibly know for certain), especially as I and others participating, were very polite and put some thought into what was written. Ironically enough, the couple posts that started the discussion and which, arguably more so than my posts, should not have been there, were left.. with the mod. having final word (as opposed to a quiet word via PM, which would more than suffice). Anyway.. that serves as a proper lead-in to the main subject; I will re-post what I can, from whatever I can manage in my browser's history: next time the same request posts in each topic results in a warning. this site is no supermarket! Guys: be grateful for EVERYTHING that is posted here. If you don't like it look somewhere else. The uploaders go through a lot of work to post. I know I wouldn't be able to watch games at all if I didn't find it here. I'd been looking for YEARS to watch Sportschau somewhere. So take it the way it is, or leave it. Footballars, KafKef, Mussambani (and everybody else who posts): THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO HERE. I really appreciate you work, and your obvious passion for football, to share so that others can also enjoy the games. they made the same requests in other threads as well, so it is spam and nothing else. we don't need people who came just over here for downloading or making lots of requests. btw.....this is a video thread and not the place for discussions, for that we have other areas. ** * ** That was the discussion, after which I received a PM entitled "you don't get it," complete with sarcastic and smarmy remarks about the "books" I post in video threads; the same point can be made sans attitude, methinks. At the end of the day, I wasn't expectant of any action, but hopeful that my contribution might improve the overall experience for everyone (I meant well). If you look at the requests section of the forums, almost every thread posted has zero replies -- one or two more popular ones and a few where someone attempted to help.. albeit, often to no avail. I'm sure that, in some of those cases, someone may have been able/willing to assist, had he/she seen said request; maybe they never will see it or it's too late, now, and they no longer have what, previously, they did. The reality is, many won't check there and not necessarily 'cause they don't want to help; it could be down to organizational issues with the board and them not wanting to sift through all the threads to find out who needs what. Imagine a popular thread topic about a game you're interested in is buzzing, right now: does it make sense to go elsewhere, away from the attention of other like-minded individuals, and ask about something pertinent to that game in the requests section? In theory, perhaps.. but, I think that if you look past the semantics of it all, you will agree that it's not exactly the best system. For me, one polite request can only help to conveniently show uploaders who's interested in what and, at the same time, draw more of an audience for your forum. For example, once one person has politely requested an English version or maybe highlights, no others should be permitted (deleted and/or cautioned); everyone else can simply click "like," beneath the posted request and presto -- no clutter! I'm curious as to what you lot think?
